When documents are asked for — and why most have no figure

Six operators write no amount

There is no figure in the cells of the other six. That is not the place where some missing information should have gone — it is a direct translation of the rule written in their documents.

Wild Fortune puts this in clause 18.1. Metaspins in clause 9.7. Rainbet in clauses 5.2 and 8.3. Shuffle in clause 4.1. DuckDice in the second section of its document. The substance of all of them is one: documents may be requested whenever the operator considers them necessary, usually on the authority of anti-money-laundering and account-checking provisions.

For Wild.io we found the same discretion-based stance, but no clause number. So no clause is printed alongside it — a number we did not read is not invented here.

Vave's documents we could not read at all, so for it this question is open. It is this site's partner, and its row is the emptiest one.

An absence is information

This distinction breaks down more than any other on comparison pages, so it is worth writing out slowly.

A discretion-based clause is not a threshold whose value has been kept secret. It is a statement that no threshold has been set at all. Verification may arrive at 200 dollars and may not arrive at 20,000, and both would be in line with the terms. So writing a sentence like "the limit is 2,000 dollars" for such an operator is misinformation, whatever the intention.

Numbers like that usually do not come from bad faith. They get written down somewhere once, then descend from one page to the next, and after a few months they appear in so many places that they start to look like facts. Checked, they are nowhere to be found, because the clause they are said to come from does not exist.

That is why nothing is written in the cells of six operators on this site, and a clause number is written alongside three. A blank cell is the most honest answer available here.

The real difference between the three and the six

Three operators write an amount and six do not — that ratio is a result in itself, and it should be read correctly.

It does not mean those three are better or those six are stricter. It means that in the case of the three there is a set figure that can be discussed, and in the case of the six there is no such figure. That is the whole difference — and it is a difference that matters when something goes wrong, not when everything is normal.

For that reason this site records these three figures not as a "convenience" but as checkability. A written condition can be read, repeated and cited. With an unwritten condition none of those three things is possible.

What this means in practice

Three things follow directly from the documents.

Verification generally comes at withdrawal, not at deposit. That is, it comes precisely at the moment the money is due to leave. So having the documents that may be asked for ready in advance is the most practical thing at that moment.

The name on the account and the name on the document are expected to match. This is the general rule in all the documents we read. An account run under some other name is not a problem when it is opened; it becomes one at withdrawal.

A discretion-based clause does not mean there will be no check. It means only that there is no set figure. Someone who proceeds on the basis that documents may be requested at some point is not caught out; someone who relies on a promise of "anonymity" that is written in no clause at all is.
