The legal frame

Crypto casinos, Indian law and the documents nobody reads

The Online Gaming (Promotion and Regulation) Act, 2025 prohibits online money gaming in India. One direct consequence is that there is no Indian licence register here, and there cannot be one. So everything compared on this page is entirely foreign — and this page reads those foreign documents and reports what they actually say.

Every figure carries the clause number it came from. A blank cell means we did not read that information — not that the value is zero and not that there is no limit. None of these licences is an Indian permission; no such permission exists in India at all.

The law first, everything else after it

The question of online money gaming in India is not what it was before 2025. The Online Gaming (Promotion and Regulation) Act, 2025 prohibits online money gaming — that is, the category in which a player stakes money, or something of equivalent value, in the hope of winning. The law creates no penalty for the player. What it brings within its scope is the offering of such services, the advertising of them and the facilitating of payments for them.

The job of this site is not to argue with that sentence. Its job is to show what the rest of the picture looks like once that sentence is in place, because most of the material available on the internet is still written inside the pre-2025 frame — it contains phrases such as "licensed in India", it discusses state-by-state exceptions, and it sometimes carries lists that create the impression of approval by some Indian authority. That frame no longer applies, and any list built on it is wrong from its first word.

The register that does not exist

In a regulated market, comparison is easy work. There is a government list, the list has names on it, every name carries a number, and the reader can take any claim to that list and match it. Germany has such a list, Ontario another, Malta a third.

India has no such list, and that is not because of any administrative delay. When a law prohibits an entire category, no register issuing permissions for that category ever comes into being. So if a site writes that it holds an "Indian licence", or a comparison page shows some test like "valid in India", there is no document behind it — there is nothing there to check.

The second consequence of this is that the ten names in the table on this page are, without a single exception, foreign. Their licences are from Curacao and Anjouan. These licences are issued under the law of those islands and carry their meaning only that far. A Curacao licence is not an Indian permission, an Anjouan licence is not an Indian permission, and a seal in the footer of a casino site does not change that.

What has been read into the table

The table below shows four things, and all four come from the operators' own published documents: the jurisdiction and number of the licence, the amount above which the terms start talking about identity verification, the declared withdrawal limit, and the company in whose name the site runs. Where we found a clause number, it is printed alongside the figure.

A blank cell has exactly one meaning: we did not read that information. It does not mean the limit is zero, and it certainly does not mean there is no limit. That distinction is the most important thing on this whole site, because the commonest mistake on comparison pages is to read a blank as "unlimited" or "no verification", after which the same guess travels from one page to the next as a fact.

Licences: two jurisdictions, nine numbers

For nine of the ten operators we found both the licence jurisdiction and the licence number. They fall into two groups.

Five names come from Curacao. Bitcasino.io's number is OGL/2023/111/0069 and the register records its status as active; Metaspins is OGL/2024/1063/0437, Shuffle is OGL/2024/1337/0628 and Wild.io is OGL/2024/210/0198 — all three are recorded as active as well. The fifth name is Rocketpot, whose number 1668/JAZ is in the older style; we did not read its current status in the register, so that cell is blank.

Four names come from Anjouan: Wild Fortune's number is ALSI-202509073-FI2, DuckDice's is ALSI-202509013-FI1, Empire.io's is ALSI-132405042-FI3 and Rainbet's is ALSI-152406029-FI2. All four are recorded as valid.

The tenth name is Vave, and the licence cell in its row is blank. This is the site's partner, that is, the one name this site's earnings are tied to, and its row carries the least information. There is a separate section about that further down, because this is something to state, not to hide.

The importance of a licence number is limited but real. It is not proof that a service is good or safe, and it carries no standing before Indian law. It says only that the issuing authority holds a recorded entry that any outsider can look at — that is, the claim can be checked. An operator that has no number has a claim that cannot be checked, and on this site it stays unverified.

What "India is not on their list" does not mean

Almost every operator gives, in its terms and conditions, a list of the countries from which it does not accept accounts. We read that list for nine operators, and India was not named in any of them. The tenth — Vave — has a list we could not read, so for it the question is unanswered.

Now the most important sentence: this fact says nothing about Indian law.

A foreign company's internal list does not decide what applies in India. That list is a document of the company's own commercial policy — it says which countries the company does not want customers from, usually because of its licence conditions, its payment partners or its risk assessment. In India the prohibition on online money gaming comes from the Act of 2025, and that prohibition does not depend on what some company sitting seven thousand kilometres away has written on its list.

The distinction matters because this is exactly the place where advertising creates fog. A sentence like "Indian players welcome" is a commercial statement, not a legal one, and this site does not read it as a legal one. The information is in the table because it is written in a document — not because it makes anything permissible.

Verification: three figures, six discretionary clauses

Identity verification is where the word "anonymous" sells most and is least accurate. In the documents we read, the picture splits into two halves.

Three operators write down an amount. Rocketpot states 2,500 US dollars in clause 11.4. Bitcasino.io states 2,500 euros in clause 6.6. Empire.io states 2,000 USDT in clause 5.4. All three are real thresholds: they can be read in advance, they can be cited, and in a dispute the operator has to stand by the figure it wrote itself.

Six operators write no amount at all, and that absence is their rule. Wild Fortune in clause 18.1, Metaspins in clause 9.7, Rainbet in clauses 5.2 and 8.3, Shuffle in clause 4.1 and DuckDice in the second section of its document all say the same thing: documents may be requested whenever the operator considers them necessary. For Wild.io we found the same discretion-based stance but no clause number, so no clause is cited there.

A discretion-based clause is not a threshold whose value we happen not to know. It is a statement that no threshold has been set at all. Verification may arrive at 200 dollars and may not arrive at 20,000 — both would be in line with the terms. That is why there is no figure in the cells of those six, and that emptiness is itself the information.

Withdrawal limits: four declared, six unread

A withdrawal limit is the ceiling above which money does not leave the account within one period. For four operators we found that ceiling with a clause number.

Rocketpot writes 5,000 US dollars per month in clause 11.5. Wild Fortune writes 15,000 euros per month in clause 11.8. Wild.io writes 100,000 US dollars per week in clause 9.6. Bitcasino.io writes 1,000,000 USDT per week in clause 6.10.

Before reading these four numbers against one another, one thing has to be seen: their periods are not the same. Two limits are monthly and two are weekly. A reader who looks only at the digits and drops the period is not really comparing anything. We did not read the limits of the other six operators, and that is what their cells say — not "unlimited", because we have no basis for saying that.

The count of cryptocurrencies and the company name

For seven operators we read the number of cryptocurrencies accepted: Rocketpot 13, Wild.io 12, Wild Fortune 10, DuckDice 10, Rainbet 9, Metaspins 8 and Shuffle 6. For Bitcasino.io, Empire.io and Vave we did not read that list, so their cells are blank. The same rule applies here: a blank cell does not mean "zero coins".

The company name is the piece of information advertising never puts in front of you, although in a dispute it is the only party there is. Nine names were found: behind Rocketpot is Danneskjold Ventures B.V., behind Bitcasino.io Moon Technologies B.V., behind Wild Fortune Metlait SRL, behind DuckDice Zentari Limitada, behind Empire.io Pixel Entertainment Limited, behind Metaspins 3–102–959384 SRL, behind Rainbet RBGAMING N.V., behind Shuffle Natural Nine B.V. and behind Wild.io Stack Gaming Ltd. For the tenth, Vave, we did not read this information.

The practical meaning of these names is straightforward. The brand name is the one that appears in the advertising; the company name is the one written in the document. They are different, and one company can run several brands.

Three things this table does not contain

Writing down what is not here matters just as much, because on comparison pages absences are usually not declared.

There is no measured payout speed here. Figures such as "withdrawal in ten minutes" either come from a check made with one's own money or are lifted from somewhere else. This site does not play and has made no deposit, so there is not a single figure in minutes here.

There is no comparison of bonuses here. Percentages and welcome offers are the most visible numbers in this category and tell you least about the route the money takes; we did not read the bonus terms of these ten operators at all.

And there is no link to any casino site here. The single exception is the partner's advertising link, which is marked as such and declared in the next section.

Our partner's row is the emptiest one

This site is paid for by one link. It goes to Vave, it is marked as advertising, and an account opened through it earns this site income. That is written here so the reader can hold it alongside the rest of the material.

And the direct consequence is visible in the table: in Vave's row the licence, verification, withdrawal limit, coins and company cells — all five — are blank, because we could not read its documents. The rule is the same for everyone, so that emptiness is printed exactly as it would be printed for anyone else. A paid link does not change the order of the table or the contents of its cells; if it did, the table would have no meaning at all.

What this page does not say

This page does not say that you should play, and it does not explain how to get around any prohibition, any block or any payment restriction. No such advice is here today and none will be — the entire subject of this site is reading documents, not suggesting routes.

Nor does this page say that the facts given here are legal advice. What the Online Gaming (Promotion and Regulation) Act, 2025 says is set out on what the law says; where every figure comes from and what has been deliberately left out is on how we read the terms. Anyone worried about their own situation or someone else's will find the addresses of free and confidential counselling available in India on risk and help.
